We are putting together the ideas for Lake Colby Beach improvements and if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please send them along. E-mail us ideas at lakecolbybeach@gmail.com

Please read and share I don't think online subscribers even got this article. We don't need to add a 12 foot wide path for million of dollars when we already have a 9 foot side walk and a bike lane.

The park already has a 9 foot wide path, this additional 12 foot path is only so they can meet DOT specs to make it officially a two-way pedestrian and bike path so that they can remove the current bike lane and put in on-street parking. Everyone who has objections to on street parking and the promenade please E-mail or call the trustees Catillaz and Rice: clerk@saranaclakeny.gov 518-891-4150 or submit your comment now. sign the petition You can read the Enterprise artical

The water was tested at the boat launch and Prescott Park (Lake Flower) and found to be highly contaminated being classified C (in red) and B (in orange). The key below shows class C is the worst and B next to that. Please share this and let Clyde Rabideau, Mayor, Thomas Catillaz, Deputy Mayor and Trustee, Elias "Allie" Pelletieri, Trustee, Barbara Rice, Trustee, and Paul Van Cott, Trustee know we don't want to swim in Lake Flower before they vote to spend money on work for Prescott park work toward moving the beach. Possibly as soon as this Monday. sudy imageinfo key

Lake Colby is clean, quiet, and safe with plenty of space and parking. We want a beach that is not next to and down stream from a boat launch and a superfund cleanup site. Lake Colby is a safe beach for our children, remaining pollution free, environmentally clean and friendly, away from boat traffic, a busy street, and noise. We the taxpayers object to the expenditure of $675,000+ to move the beach.
